Sylvia Ashton — Who’s Who (1914) 🇺🇸

Miss Ashton’s first appearance in her theatrical career was in Hoyt’s Milk White Flag, playing with that production several seasons.
Miss Ashton, or “Mother,” as she is endearingly called by her many friends and associates, is the personification of good humor, health and wit, and is a natural comedienne. She has played comedy roles under some of the most brilliant and noted stars with unusual success.
Among her many engagements are with such stars as Mary Marble, Ward & Vokes, Geo. Sidney, Kathryn Grey, Blanche Walsh, Broadhurst & Curry, and many more. Perhaps “Mother” Ashton’s most noted success was her engagement in vaudeville as leading woman for Junie McCree.
Miss Ashton’s [Sylvia Ashton] first appearance with a motion picture company was with the Biograph under direction of Mack Sinnet [Mack Sennett], later going to the Kalem Company. She is at present portraying comedy roles with great success with the New York Motion Picture Company.
