Phyllis Gordon — Motography’s Gallery of Picture Players (1912) 🇺🇸
Miss Phyllis Gordon is the regal blonde in Selig western pictures who inspires the female portion of her audiences with a new way to wear their hair, and makes the men sit up and wish they had worn their new tie as they had first intended.
Then they forget themselves and think only of the splendid portrayal of whatever character Miss Gordon happens to impersonate, and when the flash of the diamond trade-mark signals “Finis,” Miss Gordon has to her credit as many new friends as house capacities warrant.
Tall and self-possessed, vivacious and versatile is Miss Gordon. Just one thing is missed by her friends from her film work and that is her voice, for, primarily, she is a singer, having been prima donna for the Shuberts for four years
In addition she has sixteen years of stock to her credit.
Suffolk, Virginia, is her birthplace, but California is the state of her adoption.
