Mollie McConnell, leading character actress of the Balboa Company’s plant, was for many months a member of Charles Frohman’s London aggregation and portrayed leading roles in the Duke of York’s theater and other English playhouses.

She is the widow of Will McConnell, former dramatic editor of the New York Morning Telegraph and a theatrical manager.

She is a native of California and was educated in Mills Seminary, in Oakland. Following graduation she joined a dramatic company in Chicago and soon was entrusted with leading parts, because of her handsome appearance and high talents.

Since joining the cinema ranks several years ago she has made steady progress as a character player of the first class.

She has been with Balboa a year and has done excellent work in the feature films, “The Human Soul,” “St. Elmo,” and “The End of the Bridge.”
