Hobart Bosworth — Motography’s Gallery of Picture Players (1912) 🇺🇸
Hobart Bosworth? Breathes there a picture fan with mental vision so impaired that he does not immediately recall Mr. Bosworth in one of his favorite poses?
Surely not; for Mr. Bosworth is one of the most photographed men in the gallery of motion picture actors and has played a repertoire of roles that easily puts him among the leaders as regards variety of characterizations.
An excellent artist, expert producer, clever actor, able author, and all-around athlete, but briefly sums up Mr. Bosworth’s accomplishments.
He was born in Marietta, Ohio, about forty years ago. Marietta knew him for but ten years, as he ran away to sea at the end of that time.
His natural talents marked him for the stage. For ten years he was a member of the Daley stock company and leading man for Amelia Bingham, Henrietta Crosman and Mrs. Fiske.
The Selig Los Angeles studio has claimed him for three years.
